The lifespan of pH electrodes is a question that no-one can definitively answer. It depends upon so many variables. However, what's sure is that the useful lifetime of your pH electrode depends on the maintenance and care given the electrode.

Expected lifetime

For on-line process applications an operator can best determine the life of his pH electrode
by careful recording of when the electrodes are installed and when they are replaced.

After a couple of times, he probably has a relatively good feeling for the expected
lifetime of his pH electrode.
